By downloading, installing or using XpatAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These terms form a legal agreement between you and nxgtechworld, the operator of XpatAI. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

XpatAI is designed to help expatriates living in Germany by providing:

• AI-powered scanning and summarisation of official German letters
• Personalised guidance based on your visa type, city and situation
• Tax class information, housing rights guidance and daily rules
• Deadline tracking, checklists and document management
• AI chat assistance for expat-related questions

XpatAI is an informational tool only. It is not a substitute for professional legal, tax, immigration or financial advice. The app is currently available for Germany and is designed for adults aged 16 and over.

Not professional advice: All AI-generated content in XpatAI is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, immigration, financial or medical advice.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information
• Document analysis is automated and may not capture all relevant details
• Tax class recommendations are estimates only — consult a Steuerberater for official advice
• Housing rights information is general guidance — consult a Mieterverein for specific disputes
• Visa and immigration information may change — always verify with the Ausländerbehörde
• XpatAI is not affiliated with any German government authority or official body

Always verify critical decisions — deadlines, legal obligations, visa requirements and financial matters — with a qualified professional or official source before taking action.

By using XpatAI you agree to:

• Provide accurate information during onboarding and profile setup
• Use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms
• Keep your login credentials secure and not share your account with others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code from the app
• Not use the app to upload illegal, harmful or offensive content
• Not attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures or access controls
• Not use automated scripts, bots or tools to interact with the app
• Notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account

You are solely responsible for any actions taken based on information provided by XpatAI. nxgtechworld accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content.

To ensure fair access for all users and maintain service quality, XpatAI applies the following usage limits on the free tier:

We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Users who attempt to circumvent rate limits — including through multiple accounts, automated requests or other means — may have their accounts suspended.

All content, design, code, trademarks and materials within XpatAI are owned by or licensed to nxgtechworld. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the app without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you upload to XpatAI (such as document photos). By uploading content, you grant nxgtechworld a limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the XpatAI service to you.

Termination by you: You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Termination by us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice if you:

• Violate any provision of these Terms & Conditions
• Attempt to abuse, exploit or circumvent the service
• Use the app for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
• Provide false information that affects service provision
• Engage in behaviour that harms other users or nxgtechworld

Upon termination by either party, your right to use XpatAI ceases immediately. Sections 3, 6, 8 and 9 of these terms survive termination.

XpatAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

nxgtechworld does not warrant that:

• The app will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete or up to date
• The app will meet your specific requirements or expectations

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, nxgtechworld shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of XpatAI, including but not limited to:

• Decisions made based on AI-generated content
• Missed deadlines or incorrect document interpretation
• Loss of data due to technical failure
• Any fines, penalties or legal consequences

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of XpatAI shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These terms do not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under German or EU law, including rights under the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch (BGB).

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The latest version will always be available at this URL.

If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may delete your account before the changes take effect.
